Workshop Session: Change as opportunity: new developments at interRAI Services

Dr Brigette Meehan, Sally Aydon and Margaret Milne
Thursday, 3 March 10.45am

Over the last several years, the interRAI Services team at TAS has supported the health sector to better understand the needs of consumers through the use of five internationally developed, comprehensive assessments to inform clinical decision making. Recent changes affecting the business unit mean now is an opportunity to grow and extend the service in new ways. A sixth assessment type, the Acute Care assessment, is being rolled out to DHBs. Following a service design review in 2020, the team is engaging with experts in a co-design process to develop a culturally appropriate assessment model that is more responsive to the needs of Māori. Hear from the TAS interRAI Services team about these developments along with what’s in the pipeline as we head into a year of unprecedented health system reform.
