Immigration New Zealand Relationship Manager

Hiro joined Immigration NZ about four and half years ago in the processing office dealing with business applications. He is the relationship manager in Sectors and Skills team where he helps employers and industry bodies navigate the immigration system. Hiro is based in Wellington and cover employers and industry bodies in Wellington, Manawatu-Whanganui, Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay.

He is originally from Japan and previously lived and worked in Japan, Germany and Switzerland before coming to New Zealand, so he has gone through many different immigration processes.

Hiro Kuroki and Paul Millar are Relationship Managers, Sector and Skills, at Immigration New Zealand (INZ), dedicated to the ARC sector. The role of a Relationship Manager, Sector and Skills is to educate employers on the immigration policy and process to assist them to use the immigration system efficiently. They are also responsible for identifying sector specific issues and gathering insights to discuss with wider Immigration NZ.

In this session, Paul and Hiro will provide the latest updates from INZ, including the 2021 Resident Visa, which many migrant aged care workers are eligible for, and the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), due to be introduced on 4 July 2022. They will also explain the process to bring health workers to New Zealand and share insights on the visa application process and how employers can best navigate the system during these unprecedented times of bordure closures and workforce shortages.
